Randy,

Since you by admission have only read a VERY small percentage of doc's posts, I would suggest you look at some more when you have some free time.

This is copied from the TOC:

Off topic Posts
Off topic posts take two general forms:

Posts within a discussion thread that detract from the topic being discussed.

Topic-starting posts that are placed in an inappropriate forum.

When determining in which forum to place a topic-starting post, pay close attention to the forum description.

MANY of doc's posts are off-topic. That is a complaint of not just Gamble, but of many others.

Why is doc allowed to violate this section of the TOC?

What?

Are you now reversing yourself once again and saying that FT is not perfect? Are you saying that FT is broken? It would seem so!

Nontheless thanks for being respectful and for showing restraint in posting your abject opinion once again here.

Yes, you ignore my comments and yet you know better than Randy? Sure!!!

Your posted replies to many of my comments, as well as to others, do certainly appear to indicate that you had seemingly failed to comprehend, sadly, what had been written - just as in this case. You are on the record, in more than one case, as saying it is simply because you had actually ignored 'em! Can we believe anything that you say?

If that's the case, why reply at all to something that you have/had ignored and never read? This is a rather curious and seemingly senseless strategy, no?

Moreover,

...It is quite clear you are unhappy with FT. It would also seem quite clear that Randy is happy with the state of FT.

Why not channel your energy into another board?

So, It would seem that you are just going to keep asking the same questions OVER and OVER again...

...I still think you would be better off if you would accept that FT is not exactly for you.

Sure, it's not hard to notice his posts and sometimes even difficult to ignore, but what some of you may not fully appreciate is his value to all members. I know for a fact that hundreds of 'newbies' have been personally helped by Doc to topics because he has them all memorized. I find it personally helpful to know that if i am ever wondering about a certain topic and don't think i can explain it enough to the search engine that Doc knows of the thread. In my own mind, i view him as our personal librarian. Appreciate this fact as well, as prolific as his posting is - he doesn't take cheap shots, rarely if ever is called into controversy and has always been a staunch supporter of the greater good of FlyerTalk. His volunteerism is above reproach and in most other organizations we'd be giving him a medal...

Shall I continue on,... and on, and on? As you know, one easily could! Yet, I'd think not! Hate to waste the bandwidth, right?

The rules and policies herein necessarily cut both ways, and should apply equally to all, IMHO. I personally make every effort, now as I always have, to contribute to FT in the very best way that I know, for the benefit of all, at the expense of none! Attempting to show some respect for all who particiapte is a requirement, IMHO, for a successful board, and I surely hope that we all can!

IMHO, we should all be commenting upon and debating issues and not people.

All those 30,000+ posts, and yet do you see me criticizing/attacking/complaining about others? But for the occassional unwarranted, unnecessary response to a personal attack, for which I am indeed also very sorry, no!

Given your continued intense interest in policymaking and enforcement, manifested by the fact that the vast majority of your posts appear to address the shortcomings of others, may I politely suggest that you run for the FlyerTalk TalkBoard, CameraGuy!

BTW, perhaps you'll kindly update us all on the situation concerning the help you'd requested with the "stalker" issue, CameraGuy?

http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...ML/006035.html

After nearly two months now, so one wonders how it all played out? You've presumably resolved this concern? For the benefit of us all, can you please tell us how? Thanks!

PLEASE!!!!

Shall I recount your entire history of personal attacks on me and others? Shall I post all the links? I'd think not!

Get real, would ya' please?

Why be so foolish as to once again engage in rehashing the very same issues, when in each and every past case, we got precisely "nowhere?" Often you seemingly just retreated in disgust or ignored my question(s)! The only rest period occured during your unfortunate "lifetime ban."

Yo again quote you "the horse is dead!"

May I politely ask you how you actually see yourself as a "contributor" to this site. Are you a "policeman" of some sorts? Perhaps Randy may clarify for us if he has actually deputized you or somehow solicited your help in "fixing" FT? Or is FT not broken, as you recently have so often said? How many of your posts actually do provide info, rather than a complaint or criticism of another? Can you give a rough percentage for us all please? Or should I post this info myself? Or maybe, on second thought, we should just drop the whole matter? Thanks!

Does anyone else, besides me, think that FT is not about clashing egos, but rather truly think that FT is about kindly sharing miles, travel, and other information among a tremendously diverse group of interested individuals!

How about finally gettin' back on track?

Have a great day all!
