I agree, Cedric. I would be more interested in hearing about someone's two-hour coach flight ORD to Orlando than someone's Concorde flight JFK - LHR because I am much more likely to take the coach flight than the Concorde. In fact, I don't think I will EVER take the Concorde, so while it's nice to dream, I come to Flyertalk for FACTS.

Gamble, you should give yourself more credit. My feeling is that though I am a nobody other than a registered user, I am as entitled to post freely here as anyone else, and I will e-mail Randy 30 bazillion times a day, if that's what I feel is effective. Furthermore, part of the FT moderator's JOB is to field complaints from FTer's about what's wrong/right with Flyeratlk - why would that exclude you?

Suffice it to say that the reality is that I have NEVER e-mailed Randy directly, nor any of the moderators simply because I feel strongly that the flaming and personal attacks are easily overlooked, and discredit the poster, not the postee.

My suggestion is to start a thread in OMNI if you want to go off about doc's updates - plenty of people have, but it is NOT appropriate IMHO to criticize within a thread if criticizing is off-topic.

EDIT: Last but not least, in a similar fashion that I feel "anti-semitism" is misused by everyone from Thomas Friedman to FTer's discussing Israel, "everyone" means everyone to me, not "most people" or even "a majority of people". If I feel that someone uses that arrogantly, encompassing me within their "everyone", you better believe I am going to speak up, and no, I do not like being referred to as one of "everyone."
