But, the automatic pricing (bookable online and by phone agents) will not follow the fare rules and will be greaty overpriced, with no reason or justification for it.
I can't tell you how frustrating it is to spend hours on end piecing together legitimate itins via DL.com, EF, and partner sites only to call DL and have some agent say, "sorry, it is what it is." A few times I've successfully persisted in having them call the pricing desk and get some willing agent at Chisholm (big surprise there ) to fix it. But all the other times I have to argue with the agent who is both misinformed and NOT helpful.

So it seems like partner travel is just a bad experience, can't do it online, so your only choice is to work with uninformed agents who don't want to help you. Why is it that I can't get low when all segments exist on low and I don't break any of the OJ or stopover rules DL? Sorry, "because that's what it comes out to" is not helpful.

If you want it for free and easy, it's there for alot of miles, if you want it for free on low, you gotta work for it!

I hope nothing gets fixed, or else the seats on partners are going to become scarce. Keep it hard to find!
I don't agree with your logic. Your actually supporting DL's ridiculous strategy of making it hard to redeem with agents so you're left to do it online for medium and high redemptions. Sorry, that's ridiculous. And while I think all of us are happy when we can finally get something to work, it is a complete waste of time. I don't have to use EF hours on end to get something to work on UA/AA/CO, so why is it so with DL.

The point of a FFP is to make low available on par with competitors and with functionality that is reasonable. I doubt you scored your low award because no one else went through the hoops you did.

Well, please post back at that time. I'm just sitting out watching the UA/CO merger now and if things look good won't hesitate to plat match and leave ST and DL's mess.
