The real benefits come when you hit enough for a CCR card, but there are some useful bits like having a direct line phone number to the GGL team, which answers very quick, I have yet to hear the dialing tone when I have called, as they pick up that quickly. You also get access by email.

There is also the once a year joker card on redemption where you can book a points flight as long as there is a revenue seat available. This is different to the normal Gold benefit as it doesn't mean you using double miles.
