I understand that things are evolving. In the spirit of helping them evolve, my 2¢ worth is to move a thread only if it's blatantly, obviously in a really wrong place and there is an equally blatant, obvious right place. That doesn't happen much.

Otherwise, even if a thread is not in the optimal forum, people will have seen it where it is, posted in it where it is, bookmarked it where it is, and expect to keep finding it where it is. As a compromise, perhaps a short "please see that over there" thread could be placed in the more appropriate forum, to prevent parallel discussions with no or little cross-fertilization.
