Subject 2: 8 oz coca cola bottle and 10 oz contact lens solution put in a tray (with nothing else). Went unnoticed by TSA. Flier actually repacked these items into bag in front of TSA officers and no comment.
Two questions...

  • Could it have been an airline employee using their badge while off duty (a big no-no but we all know it happens and that the TSA will in some instances look the other way).
  • Did you happen to notice if subject 2 placed the little grey bowl used to put one's keys and etc upside down in front of their stuff going thru the x-ray (another clue to the screener that the bags behind the little grey bowl belong to an airline employee).
