Just like FTers who only fly AA face different issues than FTers who only fly CO (thus meriting separate fora for AA and CO), women and people of different sexual orientations face different issues than straight men.

Having a forum for women or a forum for gays, both of which face significantly different issues than each other and than men makes perfect sense. And it's not discrimination, it's an issue of practicality. There are 32 destination-related fora on the Travel board.

If the women's forum is deleted, should general issues facing women travelers be discussed in each of the 32 fora? I think it would be both tedious and annoying to have to post the same question in each of the 32 different fora.
