You won't need to stuggle to get it in the bin, as it will be gate checked at boarding and put in the hold. Roller boards won't only not fit in the bins, but they won't be allowed on a CRJ-200.
It is sort of "gate checked"; just put it on the trolley by the door as you board, and it will come back to you as you deplane. A very efficient system.
