Let's make 1K real and get rid of the 100K flyers, they can fall into that 75K bracket. And it will make the million milers happy (those who use to be 2nd level for life...now third best, soon to be fourth, fifth and then nothing...

).
Anyway, I'm settling into the idea of 125 segments for 1K, so let's heat it up a bit and ask the mileage runners to put some real skin in the game before they put their feet on that incredible red carpet we've all grown to fancy.
Your average spend per ticket is $250, my average spend per ticket is $1100, I did 100,000 plus BIS with 24 EQS in 2010 all TATL. Not sure why UA would want to get rid of me.
I do have sympathy with the number of EQS that you now need though. I guess UA has done their homework on this one to try and drive extra revenue out of people like you, ie. they know that you will try and achieve the extra EQS. Perhaps the best reponse would be for those that rely on EQS to vote with their feet and go to other airlines rather than increasing the UA coffers.
