Award Calendar Probelems sent me to Star Alliance

I have experienced the same problems with the Award Calendar. Just three days ago, I set up multi-city award reservations, then get the message "Your requested flights just sold out." I try different days, but same response.

I do not understand how Delta management continues to mislead and take advantage of their best customer. My last Delta flight was July, Continental matched my SkyMiles Gold Status, and I am already 24,300 miles YTD miles on OnePass. (Versus 33,000 YTD on Delta). I will fly United to Seoul and Beijing in January, and Continental for many domestic trips in teh next few months. Even though I live near Detroit, my goal is to maintain OnePass Gold Status and let Delta slip to Silver.

The reasons are three-fold:
1.) Lack of ability to book Delta awards for my family
2.) Access to United Economy Plus seating
3.) The excellent Star Alliance Global partners, and Star Gold lounges worldwide.

To me, SkyTeam really declined after the withdrawal of Continental, and the virtual dissolution of the tightly integrated NW/KLM partnership. (I used to book a lot of EU travel through AMS, but nowit is hard to find on Delta.com.)
