Question Best way to shorten a trip?

Looking for some advice. Few months ago I booked one of the east coast - HNL trips as a mini-vacation/MR (leaving Friday, back on Monday) for this upcoming weekend. I had some last minute change in plans and now I have to be back home on Sunday night. The current itinerary has me departing Sunday night and back home on Monday night.

Is there any good way to shorten this trip? Re-faring the trip at this point is way to expensive, and trying to go on standby early Sunday won't get me back home on time. I was looking at either returning on Saturday or doing an immediate turn around, but neither of them a reasonably priced.

Are there any other options? Looks like the only option at this time is to cancel the trip and try to recover whatever money I can (unfortunately also used an eCert which I'll be also loosing).
