My interest about the IC Dehli is because of a trip to India which I had to postpone several times. Hoping to finally go in July 2011 and because of the "disagreement" in this thread, I emailed the hotel yesterday and got a prompt and polite response:

"Dear Mr. [...],

we are delighted for you reservation and looking forward to welcomeing you to serve you in the New Dehli Nehru Place InterContinental Hotel.

We have took the liberty to upgrade your club room reservation to a deluxe suite, which feature stylish 1000sqf space and club lounge access. Mr. [...] we do hope that this is in your best interest and hope to satisfy your needs at your best.

Regarding your trip to [...]

Please do not hesitate to...."

All said for me. Rock bottom prices don't justify using reward nights in my case.
