stimpy, I think you're confusing me with swedy. I have had no experiences in India and so don't know to what your "your experience isn't remarkable at all and "staying again" is referring to with regard to me. chinatvl, I was asking the original question out of curiosity given swedy's quotation and just wanted to make sure he was quoting accurately. I was and am not "fearful of losing my RA benefits". Sorry, but your responses to what I thought was my innocuous inquiry (I believe that is one prime purpose of FT: to get info from other FTers and their direct experiences IN ADDITION TO knowing the official T&C) seemed to me to be unneccessarily "lecture-like". It simply struck me the wrong way as less than fully civil and courteous in the positive FT tradition. I have to admit that I was guilty in my last response of returning some degree of sarcasm based on your response and did perpetuate the inapproriateness. I thought the wink would soften that a bit but, nonetheless, I brought myself down to the very level of that to which I was opposed and for that I apologize. And this apology is meant sincerely and without the sarcasm that infortunately I chose to use earlier and that some choose to continue to exercise. I try very hard to offer constructive and courteous responses to posts. Sadly, when it is my perception that this attitude is not reciprocated I'm afraid I occasionally cannot resist responding in kind. It's usually, as in this case, a "no-win" situation to extend such dialogue and I will try even harder not to do so in the future. Better to just let it go.
