Good morning (or evening, for you perhaps), Ozstamps. I am sorry that you feel the need to make a personal attack on me in response to my posts in this thread. I certainly didn't mean any offense by my posts, and indeed I don't believe that any reasonable reading would lead one to believe that I was personally attacking you. If I did, then I apologize. If anything, I complemented you at least twice. I was simply making a suggestion in the interests of efficiency and economy for the entire FT board.

I truly do appreciate your positive contributions to this board. You clearly have the knowledge, experience and desire to make many fine contributions that have and will continue to benefit all FTers. Heck, I even enjoy reading some of the twisted logic that you use in your frequent flame wars.

But since you now have my attention, let me take a moment to respond to your unwarranted and unsolicited accusations/flame. Oz, perhaps you are the one that needs to "give it a rest." You seem to be one of the only posters on these boards to be obsessed with "the math" and "FT records". And since when does a lack of a reply equate to disapproval? I suppose that if I posted a response to every thread that I agreed with I too may be able to run my post count up to 5700+.

With respect to the Hilton fast track to gold promo, where in this thread do you find me complaining about your posting it in The Buzz? Of course its a great promo. And I do believe that you were correct in posting it in the Buzz. The fact of the matter is that many of us were well aware of the promo in early December. The issue (mine and many others) is the manner in which you posted it. I won't waste my time dredging up a link to that thread, where many prominent FTers stated the case much more eloquently than I. The point is, you could have just said "Hey, check out this thread running in the Hilton forum," and then all of the comments and information would have been centralized. Of course, that would not have fed your ego.

With respect to the Mexicana/Hilton promo, I acknowledge that somewhere on this board I probably expressed my appreciation for your discovery. And yes, both my wife and I took advantage of that deal. However, my children did not - - because both Hilton and Mexicana have minimum age requirements for their programs. Which is where the problem comes in. On one of those threads (again, some day when I have time I might try to find the link), one of your aliases (either JaneJet or MolsonMiler) "reported" having signed his/her/its kids up for the program). You then went on to espouse the possibility of signing up the whole family, and other, naive FTers followed suit. More ego food.

I feel quite confident that your flames in this thread are in retribution for my prior comments regarding the Janejet/Molson fiasco. You were not man enough to respond then. Instead you let everything die down and fade from memory, regaling us ad nauseam with your tales of dinner with Randy, umpteen bottles of Dom on the flight to DUS, your Tarom flight, etc., etc., etc., then launch an attack from left field.

Ironic that you have diagnosed me as needing a doctor. Most here would agree that you are one of the FTers repeatedly exhibiting psychotic behavior. What kind of person measures self-worth by the adulations received from unsuspecting, naive, anonymous posters on an internet bulletin board? And to boot, most everyone reports that in person you are quite a decent fellow! Your actions here are not only pathetic and inappropriate, they are a cry for help.

Go ahead and flame away Oz. You started it, and you have shown a propensity for always wanting the last word, so I am certain that we will all see more of your gibberish and flames. You always seem to find a way to be in the middle of every flame war here.

I don't want your advice, so you likely don't want mine, but consider this: Please feel free to continue making positive contributions to FyerTalk, but kindly check your ego at the door.
