Yes doc it has been 10 months hasn't it. I believe this question has been addressed several times in that ten months.

We tried allowing this option at several points in the developement of the FlyerTalk community and the difficulties far outweighed the rewards. The consensus that we arrived at in house is that when you create a thread and invite feedback from the remainder of the community the information becomes public domain and therefore no longer belongs to one individual.

We however reserve the right to close or delete a thread as we see fit. We try very hard to exercise this responsibility cautiously. I've been the administrator of this board since it's inception several years ago and have very rarely had to delete any post other than duplicates that I've been specifically asked to remove.

The short answer is that I don't believe this is an option that we will reconsider anytime soon. I hope this doesn't dampen your enthusiasm for participating in our community. We love having you and appreciate your feedback.
