Aeroplan doesn’t restrict OAL partner availability. Aeroplan recently made improvements to its online flight reward booking tool that increase the search capability and result visibility and ultimately provide a richer variety of itinerary solutions optimizing Aeroplan’s airline partner network. Aeroplan is giving members access to more itinerary options by increasing the number of accessible airports online. The tool now does a much better job at finding seats on OAL partners and combining them with AC segments. It is designed to present only the best results and, so, if many solutions are available then not all will necessarily be displayed.
Thanks for the official statement. I'm still a little concerned that flights are showing up on the AE search engine that phone agents can't see, as well as flights for LH, OZ, and LX (there may be others) that show as available through the ANA Tool but AE agents don't see.
If there isn't any Starnet blocking, then I hope this Aeroplan IT issue will soon be resolved.
