Airport personnel -- just like TSA -- can be wrong. And just like TSA, we can fight it.
As government entities in almost all cases, airports are not free to make up their own arbitrary, unconstitutional rules.

At the point at which the LEO took it, it was confiscated, pure and simple. Fortunately in this case, the LEO had the common sense sense to see the light & return it. However, it was still a violation of one's first amendment rights and should never have happened in the first place.
