I wasn't saying that those in Phoenix and Tucson observed Daylight Savings Time; I know that you don't. I graduated from a high school in Tempe, Arizona, so I do know that much. However, there is no special Arizona time zone -- Arizona merely observes Mountain
Standard Time (aka Sun Time) year round.
FWIW, I use the DD MMM YYYY format on everything I create, unless I am told to use a different format. As a professional genealogist that specializes in British and Australian research, it just makes everything simpler, especially since I frequently refer to dates that were not in the twentieth or twenty-first centuries, e.g., 13 Sep 1895.
