These stairs r the ones we climb when we come from outside schengen area and need to pass immigration..
Apron arrivals from outside Schengen are brought by bus to the area close to B50s gates and have to go up to immigration by an elevator or escalator. I don't know if there is any staircase you can go up.
For non-Schengen departures from B30-33 you have to walk down stairs but AFAIK all non-Schengen arrivals by bus come to the same international arrivals area.
Since I don't often arrive in FRA from Schengen I'm not sure exactly where BSO is.
