the roundtrip KLM flight was priced about Baht 16,000 (and the roundtrip Thai flight was priced at B36,000--and one leg on Thai was on the dreaded old business class seats) so its no contest for me this month...even though I fly mostly on Star Alliance flights....

(by the way, Im confused why this thread was moved to KLM Flying Dutchman subthread? I only had the option to sign up for the Flying Blue program, when I booked the KLM flight...am I missing something? Im not too familiar with the Skyteam world)
