What I think should happen post-9/11 is for people to CARE what is done about security. Till a bunch of people lost their lives due to inadequate security in 9/11, most people were pretty unconcerned. Now it seems we are OVER concerned. What a psychologist might suggest is to be "appropriately concerned". That is, if the airport hires a private firm, and you go through it, and it seems to be simply going through motions, let someone KNOW. But reel yourself back from the "no security is enough" mindset that really is a great triumph for terrorism, that they turned you into a quivering fearful mass that can barely get through life due to fear of what might be around every corner. That is a ridiculous over-reaction to the WTC bombing.
