The only part of the image that is blurred is the face. The images that you see on the internet and on signs are provided by the manufacturer. There are representative as to the capability of the machines.
According to TSA's own statements via Blogger Bob (an official spokesman for the agency, unlike you), the machines are indeed capable of saving scans. The procurement specs explicitly required the ability to both save and transmit scans.
Claiming otherwise, eyecue, would be a LIE.
