You should still put on your DL Gold charm and ask an agent if they'd waive your bag fee. Given the pending arrangement and that the benefit exists for AS elites on DL, a sympathetic agent may use their discretion in your favor.

too bad AS doesn't appear to waive bag fees to/from Mexico except for GDL and MEX... guess the other markets are primarily leisure.
