Welcome to FT Madge Ishen!

Please don't think me rude, but as we seen a number of people who are confused (at first), just in case this is due to confusion about how things work, and for the benefit of anyone reading this thread now or in the future, lets start with the basics on household accounts:

When you have a BAEC household account, all members of the household retain their own individual miles totals in their own BAEC accounts.

So you have:
Code:
Name: BAEC #: BA Miles:
Mr X 12345678 80,432
Mrs Y 98765432 20,123
Miss Z 43218765 10,567
                    =======
Household BA Miles: 111,122
While all members of the household will see (when logged into their BAEC accounts) the household account total in addition to their own, that is simply presentational.

There is no actual single HH pot of miles anywhere. The figure given for the household total is simply the balances of all the accounts making up the household account added together (and the members own pot is included in the household total they see).

When remdeptions are made, they are usually prorated out of each member account proportionally.

Next we have the BA Credit Cards (corrections welcome to this bit as I don't have a 'BA' one myself, plenty of other Amex cards!):

There are two ways two people could have BA credit cards -
(1) They both have accounts with the card issuer (Amex in this case) in their own right, and they are both obvioulsy the primary card holder (and possible only card holder) on their own account.

So, in this method we have:
Code:
Name: Credit Card Type: Credits to their BAEC#:
Mr X Primary Credit Card Holder >> 12345678
Mrs Y Primary Credit Card Holder >> 98765432
The could both earn 2-for-1 vouchers in their own accounts. And miles earned on their cards will go to their own BAEC accounts

(2) The other way is for one of the two people to be a secondary card holder on the same single account with the credit card issuer. They will have their own card in their own name, it will likely have a different card number, it will easily have it's own statment or pages of the statment relating to spend on that account.

So, in this method we have:
Code:
Name: Credit Card Type: Credits to BAEC#:
Mr X Primary Credit Card Holder >> 12345678
Mrs Y Secondary Credit Card Holder >> 12345678****
**** i.e the miles earnt from the spend of secondary credit card holder on their card get put into the same pot of miles as (at credit card company) as the the spend of the primary credit card holder on thier card, and then that pot gets transfered to the primary creidt card holders BAEC account.

Now I believe in this setup, that 2-for-1s will *only* be issued in the name of the primary credit card holder (i.e to their BAEC account). And I further believe this is on the agregate spend acorss all cards in the single credit card account. Finally I believe that there is nothing stopping you having many 2-for-1 vouchers at the same time if your spend is earning them.

In either (1) or (2) there is no requirment for them to be in a HHA.
Further with (2), the secondary card holder need not even have a BAEC account, and also with (2), the primary card holder need not be the Head of Household if you do have a HHA.

As I said, please don't think me rude, hardly any of us would know as much as we do now if it wasn't for the pooling of knowledge on FT, and I was concerned there was possibly some misunderstanding.
