Keep looking at Hotwire rates for HNL.

In December '09 I spent three weeks in HNL,

paying $12 per day for a FS on Hotwire, right before Christmas.

I signed up for their watch list about four months prior to my visit.

The Wow rate showed up about 2 months into the process
