Hello everybody,

I am booked on an award NRT-GUM-ROR in Economy. I now want to fly CTS-HND NRT-GUM-ROR. The original flights are only available in Business right now.

First question: I suppose I cannot change the existing booking accordingly, so I'd need to cancel the old booking and book the new one from scratch, right?

Second question: Economy might be available as aoon as my original reservation is cancelled, but "my" seats might not be added to the Eco award inventory, right?

So, I plan to do it as follows:
1. Reserve an award CTS-HND NRT-GUM-ROR in Business without ticketing it.
2. Cancel NRT-GUM-ROR in Economy.
3. If availability in Economy opens up, reserve and ticket the award CTS-HND NRT-GUM-ROR, cancel the Business award before ticketing; if no availability in Eco opens up, ticket the Business award.

Is this the best option, or do you have any other ideas?
