My point is not to bother Flyertalk with petty request. It is just that:

- with a clock that 'loses' 1 minute per week, FT will be nearly an hour late in a year if left uncorrected. A constant 5-10 minute gap is not a problem. I would venture to say a 45 minute one on a board dedicated to air travel would not be desirable.
- most of us have digital clocks on their computers. After making a post, and noticing the last post is xx minutes old, one sometimes double-checks to see if the post has indeed been registered, especially since a (small) number of disappearing posts were reported recently.
- computer clocks are notoriously inaccurate. Many servers have one line of code added to sync themselves with a reference clock daily.
