Except that I'm sure I read in a thread relatively recently that BA does sometimes hold flights to wait for connecting pax, so although there may be a set of rules that should be applied consistently, there do seem to be occasions on which those rules are not applied consistently, which I guess could lead to an expectation that the inconsistent application of the rules will always be applied, although of course if that were indeed to be the case, the application of the rules would no longer be inconsistent.
