We won this battle.
They backed off the pat downs. They mostly left the scanners roped off. The screeners were respectful. They were on their best behavior. This was probably the best travel day since 2001!
And, they could operate this way every day.
And furthermore, they found out that the limit is right here - they cannot push the American public this far otherwise they will feel a backlash that will bowl them over.
The unfortunate thing is that they nearly got a revolt from the people.
The President saw the whites of his own people's eyes. And I certainly hope he remembers exactly the two individuals that caused it all.
