i'm sitting at about 19000 for the year, and based in ZRH. i was going to be taking a trip down to JNB and on through southern africa on an airpass this week, but that's been cancelled. i've decided i'm not going to do a 16000-mile MR to get elite.

however, i'll carry elite until feb 2011, right? so, i'm seeing some good fares ZRH-GRU in jan-feb. think i'll do that trip while i've still got status (to get the bonus), and then i've got one or two more flights for april and a ZRH-YYZ for summer. i'll be without status for a few months, but really only miss one or two lounges and then hopefully get early recognition and be back on board by, say, august.

thoughts?
