We stayed here last week Friday and Saturday nights, 11/19-20.
We had a great experience, received a canal side room with a view. All the perks were very nice.
I agree that the lounge in the lobby is actually very nice. The windows along the canal allowed you to enjoy the view and chill out. Fully stocked fridge with all the sodas, waters, beers, etc. Had a very good selection of snack foods and sandwiches. One really nice thing was that there was a schedule posted of what will be available at what times of the day.
Got a free pass to the spa for the entire time that we were there.
The breakfast was really good but after coming from the Rome Cavalieri it's tough to compare. It was good though.
The shuttle boat ran right on time and there were never any problems. It was kind of nice to be there during the off season as it was never packed. My recommendation if it is crowed in Venice is get off at the Zattere shuttle stop and wander around there. You can't get lost in Venice, eventually you'll hit water...
As far as getting to the hotel from the train station, if you can afford it I would say take the taxi. It was pricey at 60 Euros each way. But there is no hassle with buying boat tickets and dragging your luggage across the bridges and getting on the packed boats. Yeah it's pricey but I'm guessing your staying at the Molino Stucky on points or certs. I'd splurge if you can. And the taxi's are REALLY cool.
Nothing but good things to say about this property and the staff that work there.
Go have a good time!!
