I haven't done any Schengen to non-Schengen connection in FRA for some time and my information may not be current but AFAIK you don't need to go through security if you arrive from a Schengen country. So provided there is no secondary security for US departure you should not need to go through security in FRA, just passport control and BP check.

I think some security checkpoints in FRA have separate lanes for C and F pax, while others don't.

Perhaps someone who regularly connects from Schengen can confirm?
You are correct- majority of flights do not have secondary security.
Passport Control-yes.
BP check at the gate (boarding) and lounge (entrance if eligible).
C and F lanes available at new C gates, A gates, B gates, and the tunnel between B and A (although here it is almost never enforced).
