The $20 trick is widely known, there are even website reporting success and failure depending on the hotel (just google it). No worries.
Wait. People actually spend time in their rooms in Vegas? When I go, we normally just shower there. For a little bathroom time, an upgrade (even for only $20), seems to be overkill.
