Because we have little or no way to fight against it and anyway most people are too busy voting on the latest reality TV show rubbish to worry about little things like real life.

There is however at least one group of people fighting against (Big Brother Watch) and I personally did take the time to respond to the Dept for Transport consultation document on the matter
