Not only do euphemisms lead to confusion (your idea of private areas may not be someone else's idea), but they are immature and hard to take seriously. Actually, there are so many euphemisms and derogatory terminologies being thrown around by objectors, I don't see how anybody can expect to be taken seriously when attempting to voice objections and convince the "anything for safety" faction of the error of their ways.
Even if you only use the word "genitals" at least it's specific enough to accurately communicate the "private area" being described.
