Haven't been to SFO international terminal before, got a question regarding transfers.

mom will be traveling on UA, first from YYC Canada to SFO(which I assume it will arrive as domestic ), and then SFO to PVG.

On the SFO website it says she needs to go out of security in domestic terminal (3 i assume), take the train/walk and go through security again @ international terminal or is there a direct connector/walkway to bypass all the TSA hassle?
