I hope you all understand that someone who responses to a post has a right to see their comments not edited or deleted. If the originator could delete the post, many great comments would be lost. As explained before, if the person starting the thread wanted to, they could simply edit out every word they started with, which is the only thing they should be able to do. As for editing the topic - that too may confuse people who are looking for a thread they have posted to or are keeping a tab on. I have yet to find a good argument for allowing a thread starter to delete everyone's post. Are there any?
