Potentially, but what would they be?

Would it be importing US domestic HGIs, and rebranding them with a bit of Scandic flair? I guess the question is how an outsider would expect to be able to encroach on the dominant local providers.

In a way your (miserable) French Accor hotels have more in common with the Scandinavian region hotel - simple restaurants, all-night shops, basic design, etc.
