I read an article in my local newspaper (Dayton Daily News) that while we do not yet have the full-body scanners active yet at DAY, they will be "randomly selecting" travelers for the enhanced pat-down during the Thanksgiving travel period until they get their machines up and running. Is this true? Is it simply unavoidable to not get fondled to fly (unless you're lucky)?

TIA!
Remember, they've done away with the Hand Held Metal Detectors - Full Full-Body Patdowns are now the only way to resolve WTMD alarms.

So if you

1) Alarm the WTMD.
2) Have a replacement joint (guaranteeing a WTMD alarm).
3) Have a foot/walking issue that prevents participation in the shoe carnival.
4) Can't walk through the WTMD.

Then you are guaranteed a squeeze.

Happy Holidays, and thanks for your cooperation in keeping America safe.
