It used to be that anytime there was a change of equipment or departure time, you would see a notification on the website which you needed to approve.

If you didn't approve you could change your flights free of charge.

In the past 2 weeks I have had several equipment changes and arbitrary seat assignment changes for my upcoming flights. If I didn't check, I'd never know.

Be on guard for this.
