8 blocked seats? Are you looing at a seat map? if there are 7 booked but 8 seats blocked, the 8th is probably 1B which is usually reserved for crippled passengers. it ultimately gets freed up.
Not that it matters. Nothing is amiss. If you don't want to fork over $39 for a guaranteed buy up, just wait.
