I just stayed at the Andaz 5th and very much enjoyed the property. At the price point of my booking I thought it was far superior to other NYC hotels I've stayed in (for example, the nearby Grand Hyatt New York was more expensive and is an abomination at its usual rates IMO.) Certainly I don't consider the Andaz 5th to be luxury, but the service level was at my expectations and the room exceeded my expectations. I'll post a review in the main thread after touching base with the GM.

Of course, if we're talking about luxury, I don't know why we're even discussing Hyatt or any of the other massive chains... I'm not even sure I buy "Park" as a luxury marque. I haven't stayed in many of them and I am certainly not saying they are in any way bad, but I wouldn't consider any of the ones I've stayed in as "luxury" hotels.
