I am not sure which forum this best fits in, but since AA is the dominant airline in DFW I will try it here.

I have been flying out of Dallas for about 7 years now and have never until about a month ago seen a 747 at the airport.

I am not sure what airline it was because it was well into takeoff. It looked like a China Airlines 747, but that didn't make sense.

Why don't 747s use DFW? I can't imagine the runways not being long enough. Are there not jetways/terminal facilities to handle them?

I guess AA dominates the airport so much that they dominate the aircraft type too.
