Randy, let me make one suggestion which might help. I want to make it clear, however, that I am not referring to the usual member who gets a suspension but only to those (like the one I referred to in the OP) who come onto FT and have a spate of highly objectionable posts in a very short period of time:

Remove all of their posts, not just the objectionable ones. These people enjoy seeing their prose on the internet and if they can not, there is less incentive for them to try again.

(The poster I referred to had, when I wrote the OP, 13 posts. I see that he now has 3 -- apparently all of the rest were in violation of the TOS. Those 3, too, should be removed even though they are not objectionable. If this becomes SOP for all such posters, they will have little reason to come here.)
