The Y3CUP7ZN fare basis will confirm you at time of booking into business class. No further upgrades are possible (there is a P cabin on this flight, but you cannot upgrade a YUP fare).

The LAX-LGB flight in B is available for a free space-available upgrade to first class. As a PLT, you still need to wait for your 72-hour window to open up.

Keep in mind that the business class seat on the JFK-LAX flight is FAR superior to the first class seat on the JFK-LGB flight.
