One of those model differences being the fantastic breakfasts available in some of those 3* hotels in Scandanavia.

Now, that doesn't mean that you can't get a wonderful breakfast at the BKK Sheraton - you can. But some of these small, relatively inexpensive Danish and Finnish hotels lay out a morning spread that will make you late for work, which is a real treat compared to the available offerings at a lot of Hyatt and SPG properties in the US.

And to an American, the lavish breakfast offerings seem out of proportion to the small rooms, minimal decor, limited service otherwise at these 3* hotels there. It over-delivers compared to your expectations the first time or two you run into it.
