Not necessarily. Go-arounds are uncommon, but do happen every so often and are a perfectly safe maneuver. Could be lots of different reasons for a go-around, but it sounds like the aircraft in front of you was slow to clear the runway. A go-around is every bit as controlled as any other part of your flight. Keep flying often and it probably won't be your last.
