I think 72 is a good temperature. It's cold enough that most people will not think it's hot - that is, almost nobody will be sweating because its too hot just because they're in business clothes. Yet, it's not too cold for most people, even if many would have it warmer if it was just up to them.

That's not really a consideration for a properly-designed meeting space. There are these things called thermostats that adjust the HVAC system automatically based on the amount of heat being generated in the room in order to keep the temperature more or less constant. This of course assumes that the room has individually-controlled HVAC, and that the system is large enough to keep up with a full room.
