This has to be the coolest benefit ever for families of flyers. Fumitani, why are you getting your family to individually get the status when you can just gift it to them? Independence?
Downside as I think you mentioned before is they get access to your credit card and could hypothetically go spending crazy. (not likely for a family member though)
