I have a simple stance on this, and was actually discussing it with my wife, her parents, her brother and her brother's wife today: my wife is an adult, whom I do not own but do support.

She has been given my opinions (I will not go through the WBI based on its violation of the 4th Amendment (on multiple levels) and, in the case of the Rapiscan machines, on the radiation grounds) and provided with access to the publicly released materials about the devices. She is aware that I will opt out, every time, regardless of whether she is with me or not and regardless of any delays it causes to our travels. She has her own adult choice to make. I will not force her to opt-out, but will protect her from any abuses I witness during any frisks she receives at the hands of TSA.
